Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed that the club are in discussions with Manchester United over signing Michael Keane on a permanent deal.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan to the Lancashire side, but the agreement is due to expire at the end of January.
Dyche hopes that he can keep the England Under-21 defender at Turf Moor in the long term.
"We are looking at that situation, it's been ongoing since he came here, so that's an ongoing thing for us," Dyche told Sky Sports News.
"We will wait and see and have a discussion with him and Manchester United."
Keane has made 11 appearances for Burnley.
