Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has fueled rumours linking him with a move to Monaco by admitting that he is interested in the Ligue 1 side's progress.
Cabaye has been been strongly linked with a move away from St James' Park in recent weeks, including a reunion with former manager Rudi Garcia at Roma and reported interest from Manchester United.
The French international has conceded that he would be willing to join Claudio Ranieri's side if a bid comes in, with Sky Bet suspending betting on the proposed transfer last weekend.
The Sun quotes Cabaye as saying: "Monaco have the means to build a strong team. It might interest everyone."
Monaco have already spent more than £100m in the close season as they prepare for a return to the French top flight, signing Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho and Ricardo Carvalho.
