Chelsea are reportedly looking to hijack Manchester United's move for defender Mehdi Benatia.
The 28-year-old, who was an integral figure at the heart of Roma's defence last season, is said to be a £30m target for Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal.
However, a report in The Express claims that Jose Mourinho is now looking to secure the services of Benatia having lost David Luiz to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer.
Benatia made 33 appearances for Roma in Serie A last season.
