Chelsea allegedly become the latest Premier League club to identify Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans as a potential summer transfer target.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans as a potential summer transfer target.

While the Belgium international is a key player at the King Power Stadium, it has long been understood that he will not extend his Foxes contract past 2023.

That has inevitably led to widespread interest in the 24-year-old, who is allegedly in favour of a switch to Real Madrid should the opportunity arise.

However, according to AS, Chelsea are ready to rival a number of their Premier League rivals in the race for Tielemans's signature.

With Jorginho and N'Golo Kante both the wrong side of 30 and their own long-term futures up in the air, Thomas Tuchel is open to lowering the age of his players in the centre of the pitch.

The report claims that Manchester United and Arsenal also continue to monitor the situation, although they are unlikely to emerge as realistic destinations without Champions League football. body check tags ::
