Metz starlet Pape Sarr is reportedly at the centre of a three-way transfer tussle involving Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 18-year-old arrived in Ligue 1 in September 2020 from Senegalese side Generation Foot and quickly became a top-flight regular under Vincent Hognon and Frederic Antonetti.
Sarr ended the 2020-21 season with four goals from 25 appearances in all competitions for Les Grenats - including three from 18 Ligue 1 starts - and Champions League-competing clubs have understandably been alerted to his rapid rise.
According to the Daily Mail, Man City, Man United and Chelsea are all keen to complete a swoop for the teenager, whose deal with Metz does not expire until 2025.
The report adds that each member of the Premier League trio would be willing to sign Sarr and return him to Metz on loan for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.
Sarr played the full 90 minutes in Metz's first game of the Ligue 1 season - a 3-3 draw with champions Lille - while he was withdrawn after 83 minutes of a 2-0 defeat to Nantes in gameweek two. body check tags ::
