Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson a lucrative contract worth £170k a week to make the switch to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The shot-stopper enjoyed a stellar 2019-20 campaign on loan at Sheffield United, keeping 13 Premier League clean sheets, although Henderson's long-term future at Old Trafford remains unclear.
Current United number one David de Gea has come under increased scrutiny for his performances this term, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has kept faith in the Spaniard and Henderson will supposedly seek pastures new if he is not guaranteed regular game time for the Red Devils.
With Chelsea believed to be in the market for a new goalkeeper following Kepa Arrizabalaga's troublesome campaign, The Mirror reports that Frank Lampard has identified Henderson as a priority target.
The report claims that the Blues could have to fork out £55m to secure the Englishman's signature, and Chelsea would be willing to offer Henderson a weekly salary of £170k per week at Stamford Bridge - over four times what he currently earns at Man United.
The Red Devils are supposedly ready to hold talks with Henderson's entourage within the next few days, where the two parties are expected to discuss improvements to Henderson's current £35k-a-week deal.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in Henderson, who is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022.
