Manchester City and Manchester United have reportedly placed Hoffenheim youngster Ilay Elmkies on their shortlist of potential signings.
Both clubs are looking to make a number of additions this summer as they look to improve their performances on both the domestic and European scene.
However, there seemingly remains a desire to add unproven talent to the squad, with The Sun suggesting that Elmkies is on the radar of the North-West duo.
The 19-year-old is yet to make an impression in the senior setup at Hoffenheim, although the midfielder did score against City in the UEFA Youth League this season.
Hoffenheim are under pressure to make a decision regarding the player's future due to one year remaining on his existing contract.
