Southampton striker Danny Ings has reportedly rejected the Saints' offer of a new four-year deal at St Mary's.
The 28-year-old endured another injury-plagued campaign last term but nevertheless managed to rack up 12 goals and four assists in 29 Premier League games under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
The Southampton boss has previously affirmed his optimism over a new deal for Ings, who is currently due to become a free agent in under 12 months' time.
However, Sky Sports News reports that Ings has turned down the offer of a four-year extension on the South Coast amid links with Manchester City and Manchester United.
City have been tipped to bring in Ings as a replacement for the recently-departed Sergio Aguero, but Man United are thought to be focusing on other positions after tying Edinson Cavani down for another season.
Ings has amassed 46 goals and 10 assists in 100 appearances for Southampton across all competitions, including 34 strikes in 67 Premier League outings since 2019. body check tags ::
