Atletico Madrid are reportedly bracing themselves for Diego Godin to leave the club at the end of the season as the centre-back is not close to agreeing a new contract.
The 32-year-old is into the final six months of his existing deal and is therefore able to negotiate terms with foreign clubs from this month.
Godin is said to have been offered a big-money deal by Atletico on the back of Manchester United tabling an offer in the summer transfer window.
According to Marca, however, the Uruguayan defender has not taken up the deal proposed by chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin and the chances of him renewing are slim.
The report indicates that Godin is eyeing a final blockbuster contract elsewhere, though he may be tempted to commit to Atleti at a later date if they match his wage demands.
