Borussia Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke is confident that in-demand midfielder Marco Reus will still be at the club next season.
The 25-year-old has been heavily tipped with a move away from the Westfalenstadion in the New Year after turning down a new contract offer.
Chelsea are said to be leading the race for the Germany international, ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, although club chiefs remain optimistic that they can keep hold of their star man.
"I believe that fundamentally Marco would love to stay here because he loves the city and he loves Borussia Dortmund," Watzke told Stern magazine. "But I'm sure the people who are interested in him moving will provide him with other arguments."
Reus has suffered an injury-plagued campaign thus far having also missed this year's World Cup finals, although he has still managed to score five goals in his 10 appearances for Die Borussen.
