Borussia Dortmund are reportedly desperately attempting to sign Erling Braut Haaland to a new contract amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the centre-forward.
As it stands, the Norway international will have a £64m release clause in his BVB deal next summer, and the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are all believed to be in the running for his services.
However, according to Sky Deutschland, Dortmund are ready to offer Haaland a new deal which would double his salary to £15m, while the proposed agreement would delay the release clause until 2023, allowing the Bundesliga giants to keep hold of him next summer.
The 21-year-old has scored 70 goals and registered 19 assists in 69 appearances for his German club since making the move from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020.
Haaland made an excellent start to the 2021-22 campaign, netting 13 times and registering four assists in 10 appearances, but he has been on the sidelines since October 19 with a hip problem.
The striker's father, Alf-Inge Haaland, recently suggested that his son was in no rush to leave BVB. body check tags ::
