Borussia Dortmund are reportedly not planning to re-sign Jadon Sancho on a permanent basis this summer and instead want another loan deal for the Manchester United attacker.
The 23-year-old returned to Dortmund on loan in January, and he has made eight appearances for the German outfit in his second spell at the club, providing two assists in the process.
As it stands, Sancho will head back to Man United this summer, and he has another two years left to run on his contract with the 20-time English champions.
The forward is unlikely to have a future at the club under current head coach Erik ten Hag, but there have been suggestions that he could be brought back into the first-team set-up at Old Trafford if INEOS decide to make a managerial change at the end of the season.
According to HITC, Man United are hopeful of selling Sancho this summer, and the Red Devils are due to hold talks with Dortmund 'in the coming weeks'.
However, the report claims that BVB are not planning to re-sign Sancho permanently this summer and will instead push for another loan deal for the 2024-25 campaign.
There could allegedly be an option to make the move permanent at the end of next season, but Man United are not expected to agree to another loan unless there is an obligation to purchase him.
Sancho appeared off the bench in Man United's opening three matches of the current Premier League campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest.
However, he was a notable absentee against Arsenal at the start of September, with Ten Hag claiming that poor performances on the training ground had led to the forward being left out.
Sancho took to social media to insist that was not the case, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat", which led to be the breakdown of his relationship with Ten Hag.
Having seemingly refused to apologise, the attacker was removed from the first-team picture entirely at Old Trafford, and he left in the winter market to return to Dortmund.
Sancho has struggled to make his mark for Man United, only managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for the 20-time English champions since his arrival from Dortmund in the summer of 2021.
The forward is yet to complete a match for BVB since his return to the German outfit, but he has started each of their last three Bundesliga matches, in addition to the team's 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League contest on February 20. body check tags ::
