Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has revealed that the Bundesliga club will soon open contract discussions with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
Real Madrid and more recently Manchester United have shown an interest in the playmaker, with the clubs expected to enquire about his availability this month.
However, Zorc said that the player and his family have a strong bond with the club and they would be looking to extend his stay in Dortmund.
"We will soon have discussions with him and his family, we have a very good relationship with them," Zorc told Bild.
Gundogan, who is currently injured, has made eight appearances for Germany.
