Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reportedly put plans in place to return to England from the club's pre-season tour of the USA at the weekend.
Woodward flew out with Louis van Gaal and his squad on Monday to Seattle, where they will take on Club America on Friday.
However, after that match, Woodward will head back to Manchester to work on transfer deals, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils have already signed Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, but speculation has suggested that Van Gaal would like to add at least two more players to his squad before the new Premier League season gets underway on August 8.
Sergio Ramos, Nicolas Otamendi, Edinson Cavani and Christian Benteke have all been linked with moves to Old Trafford in recent days.
