Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has insisted that he is not worried by the lack of new signings at the club this summer.
The Premier League champions have added just one name to their squad during the current transfer window in the form of Uruguayan defender Guillermo Varela.
"I am not one for bothering about other teams," Evans told MUTV. "You go out on a weekend and just try to beat the team that is in front of you.
"I am not saying I don't see the headlines but I don't worry about them too much, or worry about us not signing players or that other clubs are signing them.
"That is always the challenge at Manchester United. You have to be at the top, no matter what team is put in front of you."
United return to action on Sunday when they face Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
