Manchester United reportedly intend to allow Facundo Pellistri to spend another season on loan at another club.
Since the arrival of new head coach Erik ten Hag, it has been suggested that some of United's younger crop could be provided with chances in the senior squad.
That includes Pellistri, who recently got on the scoresheet as United posted a 4-0 victory over Premier League rivals Liverpool in a pre-season friendly.
However, according to ESPN, United are ready to give permission to the prospect joining a new team for the 2022-23 campaign.
The report suggests that Pellistri will link up with a club who are either competing in Serie A and Primeira Liga, the top-flight division in Portugal.
The alleged move comes on the back of the 20-year-old spending the last one-and-a-half seasons in Spain with Alaves.
During the second half of 2020-21, Pellistri made five starts and seven substitute outings, impressing enough to earn a full season at Mendizorrotza.
In that campaign, Pellistri made six starts and 15 appearances from the substitutes' bench, taking him to a total of 1201 minutes of La Liga football across both stints.
Nevertheless, the playmaker failed to record a single goal or assist as Alaves were relegated from the top tier.
On what will be regarded as a positive for his development, Pellistri has been provided with six appearances for Uruguay since the turn of the year.
During that period, he has netted three goals, including a double against Venezuela during the back end of his nation's World Cup qualifying campaign.
However, Pellistri, who has three years left on his contract, is yet to make a first-team appearance for United. body check tags ::
