Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has reportedly moved to the brink of penning a new long-term contract.
In recent weeks, Fellaini's influence at Old Trafford has been talked up by boss Jose Mourinho, who has frequently used the Belgian international this season.
It had been claimed that Fellaini was holding out for a better deal with the Premier League pacesetters but according to TransferMarketWeb, United are close to making a formal announcement over the 29-year-old.
Since signing from Everton in 2013, Fellaini has struggled to win over all of the club's supporters but the versatile player is now seen as a key part of the first-team squad.
During the current campaign, Fellaini has already scored four goals from seven appearances in all competitions.
