Fenerbahce have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial on a free transfer this summer.
The Turkish giants are said to be closing in on a deal for Red Devils midfielder Fred, with the Brazil international expected to soon travel to Istanbul for his medical.
However, according to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu, there could be two Man United players moving to the club this summer, as Martial has also been offered to them free of charge.
Hamzaoglu claims that the France international's representative Erkan Sulejmani has told Fenerbahce that they would be able to sign Martial for nothing this summer despite the fact that the forward has a contract at Old Trafford until next summer.
The 27-year-old would allegedly be looking for wages of around £83,000 a week, in addition to a signing-on fee in the region of £3.5m.
Martial has not been involved in Man United's preparations for the 2022-23 campaign due to a hamstring problem that he picked up towards the end of last season.
However, the Frenchman has been back in training this week ahead of his side's Premier League opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.
Martial has now been with the 20-time English champions for eight years, representing them on 298 occasions, scoring 88 goals and contributing 53 assists in the process.
The former Monaco youngster was set to start last season as the club's number one striker, but he missed the opening stages of the campaign due to injury, which became a pattern throughout 2022-23.
Martial's fitness problems restricted him to just 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and registering three assists in the process.
Man United have brought in Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta BC this summer to boost their attacking options, but the team remain short of numbers in the final third of the field.
Harry Kane had allegedly been a leading target for the club during the current window, but the England captain is now on the verge of joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur.
Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho could start as the front three against Wolves on Monday night, although Alejandro Garnacho is also pushing to be named in the first XI. body check tags ::
