Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes is reportedly 'desperate' to complete a move to Manchester United this summer and expects the deal to be completed before the transfer window shuts.
The 24-year-old scored a remarkable 32 goals from midfield over the 2018-19 campaign and played an important role in Portugal's victory in the UEFA Nations League last month.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has targeted Fernandes this window as the United boss seeks to reinforce his midfield options following the departures of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera.
According to Correio da Manha, Fernandes has his heart set on completing a move to Old Trafford and believes the transfer will be done over the next month.
The midfielder's agent, Miguel Pinho, is reportedly set to fly to Manchester on Wednesday night for further negotiations with the club's representatives.
Fernandes has already agreed personal terms and a £100,000-a-week wage with United, but the two parties are yet to agree on a transfer fee, with Sporting said to value the player at around £70m.
