Bruno Fernandes will reportedly earn £70,000 a week plus bonuses when he completes a move to Manchester United.
The Portugal international will allegedly fly to Manchester on Wednesday to undergo a medical with the 20-time English champions.
United allegedly made a breakthrough in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday night and are expected to sign the 25-year-old in a deal worth an initial £46.5m.
According to The Guardian, the attacking midfielder will be on a relatively low salary of £70,000 a week at Old Trafford, although the package could be lifted by a number of potential bonuses.
The report also claims that the contract in question will run until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
Fernandes was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils were unable to come to an agreement with Sporting over a fee.
The Portuguese has scored 15 times and registered 14 assists in 28 appearances at club level this season and could make his debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
