Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune has called on the Red Devils to launch a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international, who was strongly linked with Manchester City in the summer, has scored 94 times in 156 appearances for Dortmund since making the move from Saint-Etienne in 2013.
Last season, the forward netted 39 times in 49 appearances, while he already has 14 goals in all competitions this term.
The 27-year-old's future at Dortmund has been called into question following a recent falling-out with the German club's head coach Thomas Tuchel, however, and Fortune wants his former club to take advantage of the situation.
"Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund, I like him," Fortune told MUTV. "Pace, scoring goals, that's what we need but, obviously we have the young Marcus Rashford. If we are going to bring someone in that can make a difference, he can make a difference."
Aubameyang scored four times in Dortmund's 5-2 win over Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga at the weekend.
