Manchester United will reportedly attempt to move Casemiro and Christian Eriksen on in the early stages of the summer transfer window, while Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are set to depart on free transfers.

There is expected to be a huge overhaul of the squad this summer, with the club's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe planning major changes at Old Trafford.

According to Football Insider, the club have decided against offering contracts to Varane and Evans, with the duo set to leave on free transfers at the end of June.

Meanwhile, the report claims that Casemiro and Eriksen are surplus to requirements, with the midfield pair expected to depart in the early stages of the summer window.

Casemiro allegedly has interest from Saudi Arabia, with the Red Devils looking for around £30m for the Brazil captain, who has struggled to show his best form during the 2023-24 campaign.

Four senior players 'set to leave Man United early this summer'

Casemiro is the club's highest earner on approximately £350,000 a week, and he has another two years left to run on his contract with the 20-time English champions.

Eriksen, meanwhile, is contracted to the Red Devils until next June, but the Denmark international is also likely to leave when this summer's transfer window opens for business.

The 32-year-old, like Casemiro, impressed for Man United last season, but he has struggled to make his mark this term, only managing one goal and two assists in 25 appearances.

Eriksen has benefitted from midfield absences to start the team's last three Premier League matches, and he played the full 90 minutes of Monday's 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.

Varane, Evans 'will not be offered new deals'

Man United decided against activating a 12-month extension in Varane's contract earlier this year, which would have taken him until next summer.

There had been claims that the Red Devils could offer the ex-France international a new deal on reduced terms, but he is now seemingly preparing to leave when his contract expires.

Evans's arrival last summer came as a surprise, with the Northern Ireland international signing a one-year deal with Man United after impressing during pre-season.

The 36-year-old has played 26 times this season, including against Palace on Monday evening after recovering from a muscular problem.

However, Man United are believed to be planning to sign two new centre-backs this summer, with Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite thought to be their leading target in that area of the field. body check tags ::
