Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche denies that Kolo Randal Muani is close to leaving the club amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche has insisted that there is nothing imminent regarding the future of in-demand centre-forward Randal Kolo Muani.

The 24-year-old was in excellent form for Frankfurt last season, scoring 23 goals and registering 17 assists in 46 appearances for the German outfit in all competitions following his arrival from Nantes.

A host of clubs have been linked with the France international, but a recent report claimed that Paris Saint-Germain were advancing on a deal, having come to an agreement with the forward over personal terms.

Krosche has insisted that Kolo Muani remains "very comfortable" at the club and has played down suggestions that the forward is actively seeking a move before the end of the transfer window.

"There is speculation about this player [Kolo Muani] all the time. As the end of the transfer window nears, speculation is getting wilder," Goal quotes Krosche as saying.

"There is no new stand. The status is that Randal Kolo Muani plays at Eintracht Frankfurt and feels very comfortable. There's nothing more to say about that."

Krosche is also confident that Kolo Muani would not go on strike at the club in a bid to force an exit.

"Never. Kolo is a really good boy who is also humble and grateful for what we have done for him as a club. That will never happen. And there is no reason for it either," he added.

Despite there allegedly being an agreement over personal terms, there is still thought to be a large gap in terms of the valuation of the player by the two clubs.

Frankfurt are believed to want €100m (£86.5m) for the forward, who has also been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid this summer.

Kolo Muani started his professional career at Nantes and went on to represent their first team on 87 occasions, scoring 23 times in the process, before making the move to German football.

Frankfurt have the Frenchman on a contract until the summer of 2027, placing them in a strong position when it comes to any potential negotiations during the current market.

However, the Eagles will not play either Champions League or Europa League football this season, with the team instead bidding to qualify for the group stage of the Europa Conference League.

PSG rounded off their preparations for the new season with a 3-0 victory over Jeonbuk Motors earlier this month, and Luis Enrique's side are now building towards their Ligue 1 opener against Lorient on August 12. body check tags ::
