Fulham and Cardiff City have both reportedly identified Manchester United youngster Demetri Mitchell as a possible signing before the end of the January window.
Both clubs are fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League, and it appears that the pair are looking to add defensive-minded player Mitchell to their squad.
According to Football Insider, contact has been made with United regarding the potential recall of the 22-year-old from his current loan spell in Scotland with Hearts.
Mitchell has made a total of 20 appearances during his time at the Edinburgh-based club, and both the Cottagers and Bluebirds would be prepared to offer the player an opportunity in England's top flight.
A permanent deal would need to be pushed through, with each club having already made two loan signings from English sides this season.
