Nicolas Gaitan has responded to speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United by insisting that he is "happy" at Benfica.
Scouts from the Red Devils are believed to have watched the Argentinian midfielder in action against Nacional yesterday evening.
Despite United's reported interest, Gaitan has insisted that he will not consider his future until the summer.
"Manchester United were in the ground to watch me?" Gaitan told reporters. "I am content here and now I am not thinking about leaving the club in the summer.
"At this moment I am happy in Benfica because I enjoy being on the pitch. When anyone leaves a club it is because it is not a happy situation and that is not the case with me.
"I repeat that I am calm, although it is normal that, at the end of the season, Benfica will study my situation. It is necessary to wait."
United's rivals Manchester City are also said to be interested in the 23-year-old.
