Schalke 04 midfielder Leon Goretzka has said that "he needs time" to make a final decision over his future.
Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona have all been linked with a move for Goretzka, who has just over six months remaining on his contract at the Veltins-Arena.
Schalke have also offered improved terms to one of their star men, but Goretzka has suggested that he will not be rushed into choosing where he will spend the next period of his career.
At the weekend, the 22-year-old told reporters: "I have to find out for myself what the next step should be. I have to consider a million things. I am a person who is very meticulous in such decisions. I play through all the scenarios. So I need time.
"There doesn't exist a deadline, but I think we are in the final phase. The final decision will be made in January."
Goretzka has scored 18 goals in 127 appearances for Schalke in all competitions.
