New Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has reportedly left a good first impression on Harry Kane, with the striker the topic of ongoing transfer speculation this summer.
The 29-year-old bagged 30 Premier League goals for the Lilywhites last term, with only Manchester City's Erling Haaland managing to net more than the Spurs talisman.
With under a year left on his contract in North London, Spurs' all-time record goalscorer could be set for a move away from the club - a switch which would come to the dismay of Tottenham supporters.
Kane has scored 279 goals in 428 appearances for the club since making his first-team debut in June 2013, cementing himself as one of Tottenham's most legendary figures.
According to football.london, new Spurs manager Postecoglou has impressed Kane early on after the England striker returned to training on Wednesday morning.
It is understood that initial talks between the pair were positive, with Australian Postecoglou looking to build a Spurs squad capable of competing for a top-four place next season.
A troubled end to the 2022-23 term following the sacking of Antonio Conte led to Tottenham finishing eighth in the Premier League, missing out on any form of European football as a result.
The report adds that rumours of the former Celtic boss and Kane holding crunch transfer talks are untrue, with their discussions on Wednesday merely being introductions as the 57-year-old settles in at his new club.
A host of top-class suitors are in the race for Kane's services this summer - one of which being Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, who are said to have already made a move for the forward.
It is understood that the Bavarians launched a formal bid worth around £68.4m for Kane earlier this month, however the proposal was swiftly turned down by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Thomas Tuchel's men are not said to be ending their interest in the striker that easily however, with the German giants reportedly prepared to offload seven first-team players in order to raise funds to sign the Englishman.
Manchester United are also huge admirers of Kane, although the Red Devils are operating on a limited transfer budget this summer, leading them to prioritise a cheaper move for Atalanta BC attacker Rasmus Hojlund.
It is also believed that French champions Paris Saint-Germain are willing to go all out to lure England's all-time record goalscorer to Parc des Princes, although the player is said to be unconvinced by a possible switch to Ligue 1.
Kane and his Spurs teammates begin their pre-season schedule with a London derby against West Ham United on July 18, before clashes with Leicester City, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona precede their league opener at Brentford on August 13.
