Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their efforts to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.
Having already contributed 31 goals from 119 appearances in all competitions, the 20-year-old is wanted by a wide range of top European clubs.
Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have all been linked with an approach for the Germany international.
However, according to Bild, Havertz is 'excited' about the possibility of representing Man United in the future.
Despite United being the only club of the seven not in line to qualify for next season's Champions League, there is the suggestion that a switch to Old Trafford could be the playmaker's preference.
Havertz still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Leverkusen.
