Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has said that his club will have to sell in order to buy this summer due to the rules surrounding Financial Fair Play.
The Red Devils managed to boost their squad with two signings during the January transfer window, bringing in Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu from Arsenal and Lecce respectively.
Man United ultimately did not move for a new forward, though, despite allowing Antony and Marcus Rashford to leave on loan.
The 20-time English champions are expected to be active during this summer's transfer window, with Amorim determined to bring in players to fit his 3-4-3 system, which is still causing big problems for the current group.
However, Man United are in a delicate situation due to the rules surrounding Profit and Sustainability, and Amorim has conceded that only sales will open the door for the team to bolster their squad for the 2025-26 campaign.

"I have to understand all these problems but that problem of our club is not new. We already knew all the rules of Financial Fair Play but that cannot change the way I coach the team," Amorim told reporters during his press conference on Friday.
"Here is simple. To do something we need to sell players. In the summer we will see."
Man United are expected to move for a new striker this summer, with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Ipswich Town's Liam Delap believed to be on their shortlist, but there have been claims that Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres is no longer a priority.
The Red Devils could also add another centre-back, with Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof both out of contract in June, while Lisandro Martinez will miss the start of next season due to a serious knee injury.
Meanwhile, at least one central midfielder should arrive, as Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are likely to depart, but Man United will first have to trim their squad, as a number of unwanted players are taking up a chunk of the wage budget.

As mentioned, Lindelof and Evans are both out of contract this summer, and the pair are set to leave, while Casemiro and Eriksen are also likely to be made surplus to requirements at the end of the season.
Real Betis do not have the option to purchase Antony this summer following the completion of his loan spell, but the La Liga club have suggested that they would be open to discussing a long-term deal for the Brazilian.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa have the chance to sign Rashford on a permanent basis for a fee in the region of £40m.
One of Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee could also be sold to make space for a new striker, while serious offers for Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho would be considered due to their status as homegrown players. body check tags ::
