Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has reportedly turned down a move to Southampton.
The Saints were reportedly keen to secure the Mexican international as a part of the deal that saw Luke Shaw move in the opposite direction late last month.
However, the 26-year-old believes that a switch to the South Coast would represent a step down for his career, according to The People.
The report went on to add that Hernandez is now eager to hold talks with incoming United manager Louis van Gaal regarding his future at Old Trafford.
Both Inter Milan and Valencia are said to be interested in the centre-forward's services.
