Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he is "in shape" to play in the Premier League.
Widespread speculation has claimed that the Swede will leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract in the French capital expires at the end of the season.
It has been claimed that a deal has already been struck for Ibrahimovic to play for David Beckham's Miami-based MLS franchise, but that will not come into force until 2017.
As a result, The Mirror states that the 34-year-old is keen to spend 12 months in England's top flight.
When asked about that prospect, the centre-forward replied: "I have another three months here and then what will happen? Big things will happen. Let's see what happens. Let's just say I am in shape for [the Premier League]."
The report adds that Ibrahimovic's willingness to move across the English Channel may alert Jose Mourinho, who is said to be confident that he will be appointed the new manager of Manchester United.
The pair worked together at Inter Milan and are known to share a positive relationship.
