LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic seemingly rules out a loan move back to Europe in the off-season, despite reported interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Los Angeles Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has ruled out the possibility of rejoining Manchester United on loan.

The 37-year-old has been linked with a move back to Europe when the transfer window reopens in January, with LA Galaxy's new MLS season not starting again until March.

Former clubs United and AC Milan have both been credited with an interest in the veteran, while Real Madrid are also thought to be weighing up a move, but Ibrahimovic insists that his full focus is on his current team.

"There is interest, there's no secret. There is interest from Europe, but my priority is the Galaxy. I'm here and I'm happy to be here. Interest ... There will always be interest. This is normal. When I was injured one year, then yes, but now when I'm back, alive, it is not a surprise," Ibrahimovic told reporters.

"If I belong to the Galaxy, I'm a Galaxy player, I don't go abroad. If I belong to one club, I stay with one club and focus on that club and give all my attention to that club. Me myself, I'm positive, the Galaxy want and they believe they will make big changes in the club. I'm in talks with the Galaxy, they have wishes, I have wishes, but I'm optimistic and I'm positive.

"I want to be able to challenge for the trophy. Like I said, I'm not here for a vacation, I'm here for the challenge and I want to feel I have a chance to be the best in MLS ... my team, not me, because I am the best, but I want to feel like my team can compete against the others. The club knows all my wishes, all my demands and it's up to them what they want.

"They were very positive and they have been very good to me, very helpful to me and my family with whatever I need. I have a good relationship with everybody. Let's say I'm not worried. I think the results speak for themselves. Let's just say I'm happy, my family, everybody is happy and we have a good time and good life here. Everybody is working."

Ibrahimovic scored 22 times during his debut season in the United States and has been nominated for the league's MVP award.
