Edinson Cavani has emerged as a shock target for Inter Milan should they not be able to pull off a deal for Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.
Inter boss Antonio Conte is thought to be very keen on signing Lukaku from Manchester United, but club chiefs are reluctant to spend the £75m that the Red Devils are demanding.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter do not want to spend more than £58m on the Belgium star - with Cavani emerging as a realistic alternative.
The 32-year-old Uruguayan scored 23 goals in 33 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain last season, but has just a year left on his contract at the Parc des Princes.
Cavani's salary could be a stumbling block, as he is believed to be earning £10.8m a year. Inter would not want to pay more than £8.1m per season for the PSG star.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Duvan Zapata and Rafael Leao are also on Inter's wishlist, should they not be able to sign Lukaku.
