Manchester United defender Ashley Young has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Inter Milan.
Young has been at Old Trafford since 2011, and although the middle period of his United career was largely spent out of the team, the 33-year-old is now a senior figure at the club.
However, there are just six months remaining on the versatile player's contract, and as it stands, Young is yet to accept United's offer of a fresh deal.
According to The Mirror, Inter have started to monitor the situation knowing that they are in a position where they can sign Young on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
The report suggests that Young would prefer to remain at the North-West giants, but it remains to be seen whether a compromise can be met over any updated terms.
Young has made a total of 18 appearances in the Premier League and Champions League during the current campaign.
