Inter Milan are reportedly considering offering Ivan Perisic a new and improved contract.
The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in this summer's transfer window, although it is understood that the Red Devils are currently refusing to meet Inter's £44m asking price.
Perisic is said to be desperate to join the Red Devils ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, but according to Corriere dello Sport, Inter are preparing to offer the Croatian international an improved contract in a bid to keep the attacker at San Siro.
Perisic, who scored 11 times and registered eight assists in 36 Serie A appearances during the 2016-17 campaign, is contracted to Inter until the summer of 2020.
It has been suggested that Man United could switch their attention to Perisic's teammate Marcelo Brozovic after becoming frustrated in their pursuit of the former Borussia Dortmund attacker.
