Inter Milan have reportedly failed to press on with their efforts to sign Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku.
The Italian giants - now managed by Antonio Conte - are known to be interested in the Belgian, who is said to be open to leaving Old Trafford this summer.
However, Inter are struggling to find a way to meet United's £75m valuation, leaving both clubs facing a period of uncertainty regarding the player's future.
According to The Sun, that has resulted in Inter failing to continue negotiations, aware that they will not make a breakthrough with United officials.
Lukaku's agent Federico Pastorello has said that Inter are eager to sign the frontman, while acknowledging that it is now up to the Nerazzurri to make a formal offer.
