Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is on the verge of becoming a free agent after Inter Milan reportedly agreed to rip up his contract.
Vidic, who moved to San Siro from United in 2014, has dropped down the ranks under manager Roberto Mancini due to lack of form and a string of injuries.
According to The Mirror, it was mutually agreed between both Vidic and the club, who were reportedly keen to get the 34-year-old off the wage bill, to terminate the contract.
In December, the centre-back was rumoured to have attracted interest from Premier League sides Everton and Aston Villa.
Vidic spent eight years playing for United, winning five league titles, three League Cups and the Champions League trophy in the process.
