Inter Milan are reportedly hopeful of lowering Manchester United's £75m asking price for Romelu Lukaku by using Ivan Perisic as a makeweight in the potential deal.
The Italian giants continue to be strongly linked with a move for Lukaku, who has missed all three of United's pre-season matches this summer amid the speculation surrounding his future.
The Red Devils are reportedly not prepared to sell the Belgium international for anything under £75m.
However, according to Calciomercato, Inter hope to tempt the English giants by offering Perisic, who was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford during Jose Mourinho's time as head coach.
The 30-year-old - a key contributor to Croatia reaching the 2018 World Cup final - scored nine times in 45 appearances for the Serie A club during the 2018-19 season.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in a player not thought to be in the plans of new Inter boss Antonio Conte.
