Manchester United are reportedly prepared to keep Casemiro until at least 2025 despite interest from Galatasaray.

The 32-year-old has started all four of the Red Devils' competitive matches so far in 2024-25, including three Premier League contests and the FA Community Shield final against noisy neighbours Manchester City on August 10.

Casemiro endured one of the darkest days of his Man United career on Sunday afternoon, when Erik ten Hag's troops were smashed 3-0 by arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Arne Slot's side possessed a two-goal lead at the half-time break, with Luis Diaz bagging a brace in the opening 45 minutes following two mistakes from United's Brazilian midfielder.

As a result of some sloppy play in the engine room, Casemiro did not remerge for the second period, with 20-year-old academy graduate Toby Collyer replacing the veteran.

Man United's Casemiro 'set to stay' at Old Trafford

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Casemiro has not played his final game for Manchester United despite a troubling afternoon against Liverpool on Sunday.

The report claims that the five-time Champions League winner is set to remain at Old Trafford until at least 2025, when he could depart during the January transfer window.

It is understood that Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in securing the services of Casemiro on a season-long loan for the 2024-25 campaign.

However, it is believed that no concrete talks between the midfielder and Okan Buruk's men have commenced, meaning that a deal is unlikely at this stage.

Despite his recent struggles for United, Casemiro supposedly wishes to stay and fight for his place on the red side of Manchester this season.

Could Casemiro make a Man United comeback?

With the transfer window in Turkey closing on September 13, Galatasaray still have time to convince Casemiro to join Victor Osimhen in Istanbul.

That being said, it is understood that the ex-Real Madrid star wants to stay as a first-team regular in the Premier League for Ten Hag's troops.

Signing from Paris Saint-Germain during the final stages of the summer window, Manuel Ugarte is expected to partner Kobbie Mainoo in United's first-choice midfield.

However, Ten Hag recently suggested that it could take "months" for the Uruguayan to reach top gear at Old Trafford, meaning that the door is ajar for Casemiro to stake a claim in the team. body check tags ::
