The agent of Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that the Real Madrid superstar still "loves" former club Manchester United, but does not envisage him ever returning to Old Trafford.
Ronaldo has previously hinted that he would one day be open to re-joining the club he left in 2009, having been lured to the Spanish capital in a record-breaking move.
When asked at the premiere of a new film documenting his own life if a Premier League comeback could be on the cards, Ronaldo is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Why not? I'm in La Liga now, in Spain. But as I say 100 times, in the future, nobody knows."
Representative Jorge Mendes expects the Portuguese to stay at the Bernabeu for the remainder of his playing days, however, adding: "I think he will finish his career at Real Madrid.
"I'm sure. He loves Manchester United, he loves Madrid. At the moment he is playing for Real Madrid, and he will finish his career at Real Madrid."
Ronaldo has become Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer since joining the club six years ago.
