Juventus are reportedly still desperate to bring Paul Pogba back to the club and will offer Manchester United the chance to sign Miralem Pjanic as part of the deal.
Pogba has had a new lease of life at United since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the 20-time English champions, who have won each of their five games since Jose Mourinho's departure.
The player's long-term future at Old Trafford is far from secure, however, with both Barcelona and Juventus strongly linked with moves during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old won four Serie A titles with Juventus between 2012 and 2016 and recently said that Turin was 'his home'.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are still determined to re-sign Pogba and will offer United 28-year-old midfielder Pjanic as part of the deal.
Pjanic, who has played 114 times for Juventus since a 2016 switch from Roma, is contracted to the Old Lady until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has been named in the Serie A Team of the Year in each of the last three seasons.
