Everton are expected to make a move for Manchester United's Memphis Depay in January after Blues boss Ronald Koeman declared his interest in the player.
The Dutch international has played just 20 minutes of Premier League football since Jose Mourinho took charge at the Red Devils, and his compatriot is hoping to bring him to Goodison Park when the transfer window opens.
"I would like to have [Depay]," Koeman told Fox Sports. "I think he is an interesting player. He has great individual qualities. He just needs to play games."
Depay, who is under contract at United until 2019, joined United from PSV Eindhoven last year in a deal worth £25m.
Everton's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri recently vowed to back Koeman with transfer funds, insisting that the club will have "no spending restrictions" in January.
