Lazio have released a statement denying claims made by club president Claudio Lotito that Felipe Anderson will join Manchester United in a £47m deal this summer.
Lotito told Calciomercato that the sale of Anderson had been agreed and revealed the hefty fee.
United have reportedly been long admirers of the Brazilian midfielder, who is believed to have been the subject of a failed £37.6m bid from the Premier League club last summer.
According to Lotito, Anderson will be on the move at the end of the season, but Lazio have rebuffed claims from their president.
A statement on the club's official website read: "In reference to statements attributed to president Claudio Lotito regarding the alleged sale of Felipe Anderson, Lazio can confirm they are devoid of any foundation."
Anderson has made 24 Serie A appearances this season and has found the back of the net six times.
