Premier League leaders Leicester City have reportedly approached Manchester United regarding a potential loan swoop for young midfielder Andreas Pereira.
Recent speculation has claimed that the Red Devils have decided to let the 20-year-old depart Old Trafford on a temporary basis in order to boost his playing time.
That has alerted Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri, who despite his side's lofty position, is keen to bolster his squad this month, according to the Daily Mail.
However, the report adds that the Foxes are likely to be rebuffed by United given that they have emerged as genuine rivals for one of the division's four Champions League places.
Brazil youth international Pereira joined United from PSV Eindhoven in 2011.
