Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the club are working on a deal for on-loan midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The Foxes signed the 21-year-old on a short-term loan from Monaco at the end of January, sending Adrien Silva the opposite way.
Tielemans has been a major hit during his short time at the King Power Stadium, leading to rumoured interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
Rodgers is still confident of getting a permanent deal over the line for the Belgium international, however, despite the departure of the head of recruitment Eduardo Macia earlier this month.
"The work is ongoing. Of course there is a hole in terms of the head of recruitment role," he told The Sun. "However, work has been going on below that and conversations with Monaco are taking place.
"There are a lot of good people behind the scenes who are continuing the work. It is an important one for us because we want to strengthen in the summer."
Tielemans has featured seven times in the Premier League for Leicester and has played a direct part in four goals.
