Liverpool are reportedly interested in bringing former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez to Anfield this month.
The 27-year-old was allowed to leave Old Trafford last summer having spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Real Madrid, and has since been in fine form for Bayer Leverkusen.
The Mexican scored 17 goals in his last 15 games for the Bundesliga outfit before their winter break, a run of form which reportedly brought him to the attention of a number of clubs.
Reports now suggest that Jurgen Klopp has made Hernandez one of his priority targets, although it is understood that a summer move is more likely than rushing a transfer through this month.
Liverpool have often played without a registered striker under Klopp this season, with Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings both sidelined and Christian Benteke failing to earn a regular starting berth.
Hernandez made 157 appearances for Liverpool's bitter rivals Man Utd, scoring 59 goals.
