Liverpool have reportedly joined rivals Manchester United in the race to sign teenage winger Kamaldeen Sulemana this summer.

The Ghanaian plies his trade with Danish club Nordsjaelland and has seen his reputation grow in recent months, developing into one of the Superliga's brightest talents.

According to the Daily Mail, United face competition from Liverpool and Dutch giants Ajax for the 19-year-old, who is valued at around £12m.

The Red Devils are believed to have sent Danish scout Tommy Moller Nielsen to watch Nordsjaelland's 2-2 draw with Copenhagen on Monday, in which Sulemana scored the opening goal, while Liverpool's Scandinavian scout Mads Jorgensen was also present.

Nordsjaelland are currently owned by the Ghanaian Right to Dream academy and they are using the Danish club to develop their best young players.

Sulemana, who was named Danish Superliga Player of the Month for April, has recorded 10 goals and six assists in 26 league appearances so far this campaign. body check tags ::
