Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly among the teams tracking Evan N'Dicka ahead of a potential move for the defender at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old's contract with Eintracht Frankfurt is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that he is currently free to hold talks with foreign clubs over a move this summer.
N'Dicka has again been a vital player for his German club during the 2022-23 campaign, making 23 appearances in all competitions, while he has represented his current side on 162 occasions since arriving from Auxerre in 2018.
Journalist Ben Jacobs, speaking on the Football Terrace, has claimed that Liverpool and Man United are both keeping a close eye on his situation in Germany.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in the running for his signature.
"This is a player that is hotly being pursued and will be tremendous value in the summer, assuming that no new contract is agreed with Eintracht Frankfurt," said Jacobs.
"There's a mad, mad chase on all across Europe for the 23-year-old. Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea potentially. Liverpool have kept an eye on him and a whole variety of others all across Europe. PSG is another option.
"Top player, excellent value, 6 foot 4, modern defender, great season so far for Eintracht Frankfurt, can chip in with goals as well.
"There's two things to quickly say here. Number one is that we have to bear in mind that a summer move is going to be absolutely a mad dash if the player's available on a free transfer.
"The second thing is that naturally anything would be complicated should a new deal be signed. But at the moment the feeling is that the player is very seriously available on a free transfer."
N'Dicka has been capped at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level by France, but he is yet to feature for the senior side.
Frankfurt are still said to be working to convince the defender to sign a new contract, but he could earn more money by moving elsewhere on a free transfer this summer.
Man United are currently well-stocked in the middle of the defence, but Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are both expected to leave on free transfer this summer.
Meanwhile, there remains speculation surrounding the future of Harry Maguire, who has lost his starting role at the club during the 2022-23 campaign.
Liverpool are also believed to be eyeing a new centre-back at the end of the campaign despite head coach Jurgen Klopp having a number of options in that area of the field. body check tags ::
