Real Madrid have confirmed that goalkeeper Keylor Navas will wear the number one shirt next season.
The Costa Rica international has inherited the jersey from Iker Casillas, who recently joined Porto following a 16-year stint between the posts at the Bernabeu.
As a result, there have been suggestions that the decision to hand Navas Casillas's old shirt is an indication that Los Blancos have given up hope of signing David de Gea from Manchester United this summer.
Instead, it is believed that De Gea will arrive in the Spanish capital on a free transfer at the end of the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.
Madrid have also revealed that new custodian Kiko Casilla has opted for the number 13.
