Manchester City are not contemplating making a move for Sergio Ramos this summer, according to a report.
The 35-year-old has been unable to agree a new deal with Real Madrid despite lengthy negotiations, and he has given an emotional farewell to the club as he prepares to leave upon the expiration of his contract.
With Eric Garcia leaving for Barcelona and Aymeric Laporte also being linked with a move to the Catalan giants in recent weeks, Pep Guardiola has been tipped to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Sevilla for Ramos's signature.
However, the Manchester Evening News reports that City are still not interested in a deal for Ramos, even though he is now confirmed to be leaving Los Blancos as a free agent.
The report adds that the Premier League champions are prioritising a replacement for Sergio Aguero, but a new centre-back could still be on the agenda if Laporte does depart.
Ramos leaves Real Madrid with 101 goals from 671 appearances under his belt, and he has won five La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns since making the switch from Sevilla in 2005.
